This study was focused to improve students' achievement in writing narrative text through cartoon movie. It was conducted by applying classroom Action Research with two cycles and eighth meetings. The subject of this study is grade VIII students of SMP Sw. Dharma Bhakti Siborongborong, and consisted of 30 students. The instrument for collecting data used writing test for quantitative and used diary notes, observation sheet, and interview for qualitative.
The mean of the test shows the improvements of the students score, in cycle I test was (63.1) and the mean in the cycle I was (80.13). Based on the data above, it can be concluded that cartoon movie is significant improved students' writing achievement especially in narrative text.
