This study aims to find out the usage of google classroom on English learning process in the pandemic COVID-19 at eighth grade students of SMP Swasta RK Santa Maria Pakkat in academic year 2020/2021.This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The researcher used observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentary to collect the data. Data analysis in this study includes the data reduction stage, the data presentation stage (Data Display), and the conclusion drawing/verification stage. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation of data sources. The results of this study conclude that (1) internal problems include: 30,8 % students who have difficulty understanding the content of the lesson and also of 15,38 % students were lazy to take part in English learning. (2) external problem include: 10,5 % students who did not have smartphones and 73,7 % signal was as a barrier in the learning process; 5,1 % students who lack attention from parents and also lack of interaction between teachers and students. This is because learning is based online. Students and teachers cannot communicate directly (face to face) in the learning process.
